Free seminar for caregivers

AlmaVia of Camarillo will host a free seminar, "The Secret of Caregiver Success," from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Fri., May 9 at AlmaVia, 2500 Ponderosa Drive, Camarillo.

Arnold Bresky, MD, preventive gerontologist and medical director of Camarillo Springs Holistic Medical Center, will lead the seminar, which will provide information on memory loss.

In the first half of the session, Bresky will outline tools for caregivers, including what to expect, how to communicate with the individual and how to take care of oneself.

In the second part of the talk, Bresky will highlight the scientific basis for the maintenance and improvement of memory, how to slow the progression of cognitive decline and his own nine-point brain tuneup system designed to preserve memory and keep the brain efficient.

The talk will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
