Three male Los Angeles residents were arrested Fri., April 18 and charged with burglarizing two Camarillo homes in the 2000 block of Via Montecito, police said in a written statement. According to reports, a fourth burglar escaped on foot.

Marquez Ezell, 21; Robert Thomas, 20; and Trenton Lovell, 18, were arrested after Ventura County sheriff 's deputies responded to a neighbor who reported a suspicious vehicle in the Mission Oaks neighborhood around 1:45 p.m.

According to police, a patrol deputy approached a vehicle matching the neighbor's description and saw four men in the car, who fled on foot when the deputy arrived.

Assisted by the sheriff's department helicopter and two K9 units, police said Lovell was arrested about an hour and a half later when he was found hiding inside a trashcan on Cervato Court, less than half a mile south of Via Montecito.

Police said Lovell, who was taken to St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital for injuries from the police dog, will face additional charges for punching the police K9 when he was caught.
