Nominate animal advocate for 'Paws' award

The Hogan Family Foundation announces the creation of the Lifeline 4 Paws Award that will recognize Southern California residents who had demonstrated extraordinary acts of kindness toward dogs during the year.

"The Lifeline 4 Paws Award will be given to individuals based on their commitment, compassion and courage in going above and beyond lifesaving or other difficult circumstances to help dogs throughout the area," said Christine Hogan, executive vice president of the foundation.

The award will consist of a commemorative plaque and a $500 donation given to an animal-related charity of the winner's choice.

The awards will be given throughout the year as determined by a select panel.

Applications may be submitted at any time with a final deadline of Thurs., Nov. 27.
