Health Care District events

•A class on "Saving Your Brain" will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wed., April 30. The class will teach 10 lifestyle strategies to preserve and enhance brain functioning. The cost is $10 for Camarillo/Somis residents and $12 for out-of-area residents.

•An eight-week tai chi chih class will begin from 5 to 6:15 p.m. Mon., May 5. Tai chi chih is a series of 20 movements designed to build muscle strength, improve balance and relieve stress. Class fee is $80 for Camarillo and Somis residents, $85 for out-of-area residents.

•Family nurse practitioner Cynthia Fiacco will present an overview on the human papillomavirus from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tues., May 6. Fiacco will discuss the HPV vaccine and answer questions. Admission is $10 for Camarillo and Somis residents and $12 for out-of-area residents.

•A session on the anticoagulant Coumadin will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sat., May 10. The class will discuss the drug in conjunction with other medications, exercise, diet and side effects. The cost is $10 for Camarillo/Somis residents and $12 for out-of-area residents.
