Reichel earns roster spot

David Reichel, a 2003 graduate of Camarillo High, has made the opening day roster of the Los Angeles Lightning, an expansion team in the International Basketball League that'll play its home games at Cal Lutheran University.

Reichel, a 6foot8 guard/forward, had an illustrious career at Camarillo before playing at The Master's College and Cal State San Bernardino.

The Lightning opens its season tonight at CLU against the Battle Creek (Mich.) Knights. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
