Tierra Linda wins gold

HEAVY MEDAL- Tierra Linda Elementary School's team of 15 fourth and fifth graders earned a gold medal against 48 other elementary schools in the 22nd annual Los Angeles County Science Olympiad held at California State University Los Angeles on March 15. After three months of practicing and competing in science experiments and science knowledge tests aTierra Linda, the team members and their supervising teacher, Katie Koch, woke up at abou5 a.m. on Saturday morning to compete in Los Angeles.
