Audition call goes out for 'Pippin'

The Camarillo Community Theatre is holding open auditions for the Stephen Schwartz musical "Pippin" on Sat. and Sun., April 19 and 20 at the theater, 330 Skyway Drive, Camarillo.

The following roles are open:

Pippin, age 18 to 30, tenor. Eldest son of King Charlemagne.

The Leading Player, age 25 to 40, tenor. Master of ceremonies.

Catherine, age 18 to 30, soprano. The heroine.

Charles of Charlemagne, age late 30s to 50, baritone. Larger than life.

Fastrada, age late 30s to 50, alto. Wicked stepmother.

Theo, ability to play age 8. Son of Catherine.

The Players, four men and four women ages 18 to 30. Vocal ranges open.

Auditions are by appointment only. Auditioners should prepare an up-tempo song, preferably from the show, bring sheet music in the correct key and wear appropriate dance attire.
