May events at Camarillo Art Center

The Camarillo Art Center has announced its event schedule for May. All events will take place at the center, 3150 Ponderosa Road, Camarillo.

The gallery is open from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

•The center's spring juried art show, "Spring Forward," will begin Sat., April 26 and continue through Sun., May 18. A reception with live music will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Sun., May 18.

•Ventura artist Timberly Dunn will hold a watercolor demonstration at 7 p.m. Wed., May 21. She will demonstrate traditional watercolor botanical rendering. Admission is free for art center members, $5 for nonmembers. Refreshments will be served after the demonstration.

•Michelle Honles and her students will exhibit their artwork at the gallery from Sat., May 24 through Sun., June 15. The show, "Art and You," will include various media.

The Camarillo Art Center is a nonprofit organization that provides a facility for local artists and art students to present their artwork in a gallery setting.
