BRAVO, VOLUNTEERS- Ventura County Superior Court Judge Tari Cody, center, swears in 19 Court Appointed Special Advocates on Wed., April 9 at the Juvenile Courthouse in Oxnard. The volunteers have completed 40 hours of training and will be assigned one child who has been abused or neglected. Advocates offer the judge and social workers a more personal perspective on the child's progress. The next round of training is scheduled to begin in July.
