Tierra Linda wins gold
      HEAVY MEDAL- Tierra Linda Elementary School's team of 15 fourth and fifth graders earned a gold medal against 48 other elementary schools in the 22nd annual Los Angeles County Science Olympiad held at California State University Los Angeles on March 15.

Reichel earns roster spot
      David Reichel, a 2003 graduate of Camarillo High, has made the opening day roster of the Los Angeles Lightning, an expansion team in the International Basketball League that'll play its home games at Cal Lutheran University.
