Local senior teaches lace making class at CLU

Vibs Clausen, a Camarillo senior, teaches lace making to children and adults during free weekly classes from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks.

She will also teach the craft at the university's Scandinavian Festival Sat., April 19 and Sun., April 20.

Clausen, 73, learned the craft while growing up in her native Denmark, and has participated in workshops in Denmark and the United States. She operated a Camarillo handicraft store specializing in materials and instruction for 12 years.
