Get prepared with Red Cross

The American Red Cross of Ventura County will hold a free disaster preparedness presentation from 2 to 4 p.m. Sat., April 19 at the Borders Book Store, 241 W. Esplanade Drive, Oxnard.

Attendees will learn how to build a disaster kit, make a disaster plan and get information on different ways to prepare before a disaster strikes.

The event is open to the public.
