YMCA, Red Cross partner for day of family fun

The American Red Cross of Ventura County will join the Camarillo Family YMCA at the 17th annual YMCA Healthy Kids Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow, Sat., April 12 at the YMCA, 3111 Village at the Park Drive, Camarillo.

Event activities for children and adults will include games, activities, treats, giveaways and educational entertainment designed to illustrate the fun in fitness.

The American Red Cross activities will include mini-classes covering a range of subjects in safety education including first aid, lost and found procedures, and fire, water and transportation safety.

Children will train in interactive groups and receive materials to reinforce the day's learning. Participants will be taught intervention skills, as well as knowing when and how to seek adult assistance.
