Board openings

The City of Camarillo is accepting applications for volunteers to serve the city.

The following is a brief summary of the current openings:

•The Rent Review Commission is responsible for assisting in the settlement of rent disputes. The commission meets annually and on an as-needed basis, generally during afternoon working hours.

There are two vacant positions. Multifamily owner alternate and tenant alternative members must be an owner and/or owner representative or tenant of an apartment complex in the city.

Commissioners must file a Statement of Economic Interest form. For information regarding the form, visit www.fppc.ca.gov.

•The Area Housing Authority is a catalyst to provide opportunities and assistance to people in need of affordable housing through partnerships with the communities it serves, which includes Camarillo, Fillmore, Ojai, Moorpark, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks and the county of Ventura.

The authority meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 3 p.m. in Newbury Park. There is one vacancy. The term of appointment is four years.

Board members must complete and file a Statement of Economic Interest Form 700. For information regarding the form, visit www.fppc.ca.gov.

The deadline to submit applications is 5 p.m. Fri., May 25. Applications are available at the City Clerk's office and online at www.ci.camarillo.ca.us.

Applicants are asked to provide a resume along with their completed application.
