Optimist celebrates student leaders

BRAVO- Michelle Bogan, left, of Camarillo High, Stephanie Raymond of Rio Mesa High and Kelia Bailey of Frontier High receive the Joel McCrea Award at the Camarillo Noontime Optimist Club annual awards dinner March 12 at the Camarillo Community Center. Melissa Foucar of Cornerstone Christian High also won the award, the club's top honor. The Camarillo Noontime Optimist Club recognized 112 students from Adolfo Camarillo, Rio Mesa, Frontier and Cornerstone Christian high schools for their community service, leadership and academic achievements. More than 300 parents, friends and students attended the dinner.
