Community Briefs The Center for Creative Living's spring session will offer 18 classes at the Camarillo United Methodist Church during April and May. This is the fifth session of classes at the church for adults and children. Ten of the classes are for multiple sessions, and eight are onesession classes. Subjects include yoga, music, American Sign Language, PowerPoint, knitting and crocheting, Excel, audio files and digital photography. There is a donation fee for all classes. Lovejoy leads art lessons Art classes are offered from 2 to 4 p.m. every Saturday at the Camarillo Center for Spiritual Living, 340 Mobil Ave., Camarillo. Participants use paint, clay, paper, fabric and other materials to explore their creativity. The classes are facilitated by the Rev. Grace Lovejoy and are open to the public. B'nai B'rith will hold meeting B'nai B'rith of the Conejo Valley will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. Mon., April 14 at Temple Adat Elohim, 2420 E. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks. The guest speaker will be genetics expert Gary Frohlich, who will present a biology lesson, history course and mini-genetics program dealing with conditions common among Jewish people. Edward "Monk" Malloy, former president of the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, will be the guest speaker at the Notre Dame Club of Ventura County's Annual UND Celebration on Thurs., April 17 at the San Buenaventura Mission, 211 E. Main St., Ventura. The event begins with 5:30 p.m. Mass at the mission, followed by a reception and auction at 6:15 p.m., pasta dinner at 7 p.m. and Malloy speaking afterwards. Special auction items include a signed football and photograph with Notre Dame Coach Charlie Weis, six seats at Weis' table at a May 8 luncheon and two USC football tickets for the Notre Dame Game in Los Angles. Cost for the celebration is $20, and it is open to the public. Registration deadline is Thurs., April 10.
