Sheriff's Blotter A carjacking occurred between 6:30 and 7:11 p.m. March 26 in the 1700 block of S. Lewis Road. Two subjects, ages 29 and 18, were charged with the crime at 7:11 p.m. the same night in the 700 block of Mobile Avenue. A stolen check was altered and forged into the amount of $9,276.12 between Jan. 21 and March 24 at Harbor Freight Tools in the 3400 block of Mission Oaks Boulevard. A male, 24, was arrested and charged with stealing DVDs from a business at 5:30 p.m. March 25 in the 200 block of W. Ventura Boulevard. On a burglary charge, a male, 20, was arrested at 4:05 p.m. March 27 in the 900 block of Arneill Road. A male, 26, allegedly caused more than $400 in damage to Ventura County Sheriff's Department property and was arrested for the crime at 12:10 a.m. March 27 at the Camarillo Police Station at 3701 Las Posas Road. Three of four tires were punctured March 25 or 26 in the 2600 block of Paseo Maravilla at a cost of $469.92. Money and merchandise was stolen from Target at 209 W. Ventura Boulevard on March 26 around 5 p.m. A thief stole merchandise from Diesel clothing store in the Camarillo Premium Outlets between 8 and 8:30 p.m. March 26. A shoplifter attempted to steal merchandise at Kmart on Arneill Road at 4:05 p.m. March 27. A pair of sunglasses was stolen from the Sunglass Hut in the 700 block of E. Ventura Boulevard around 4:20 p.m. March 25. For gang-related vandalism, a male, 18, was cited March 27 for a crime that occurred Dec. 22, 2006, in the 4600 block of Colony Drive. A male, 18, was cited for gangrelated offense and vandalism on March 28 at the Camarillo Police Station for a crime committed Jan. 13, 2007, at Aliento Way and Aqua Verde Court. A male, 18, was cited March 27 at the Camarillo Police Station for conspiracy to commit gang-related vandalism for a crime that was committed March 7, 2007. A male, 18, allegedly vandalized two restrooms and an elevator at the Camarillo Library May 3, 2007. The subject was only recently cited. A male, 18, was cited for vandalism at 7 p.m. March 21 in the 300 block of N. Carmen Drive and on March 27 at Mission Oaks Boulevard and Calleguas Creek. For allegedly driving with marijuana in his vehicle, a male, 31, was cited at 12:10 p.m. March 28 at Ponderosa Drive and Adolfo Road. A female, 27, and a male, 21, were arrested and charged with burglary at 4:02 p.m. March 30 in the 300 block of W. Ventura Boulevard. The male subject allegedly entered a business with a shopping bag and placed several items into it then left without paying for anything. Property was vandalized at Mission Oaks Boulevard and Calleguas Creek between Jan. 3 and Feb. 3 but it was only recently reported. A stereo and an iPod were stolen during a vehicle break-in March 26 or 27 in the 700 block of Paseo Camarillo. A vehicle break-in occurred on the night of March 30 in the 5200 block of Via Calderon. Shoplifters attempted to steal property at Ecko Unlimited at 750 E. Ventura Boulevard around 1:50 p.m. March 30. A male, 18, allegedly stole a bathtub valued at $699 from the Home Depot in the 400 block of W. Ventura Boulevard on March 27. A male, 23, allegedly committed petty theft in the 200 block of W. Ventura Boulevard on March 4 and was arrested March 31. Three sunglasses were stolen from Sunglass Hut on E. Ventura Boulevard between 6:50 and 7 p.m. March 28. A shoplifter pushed a shopping cart full of merchandise out of a Smart & Final on 389 Arneill Road without paying for items between 6:05 and 6:35 p.m. March 29. For disturbing the peace, a male, 47, was cited at 9:21 p.m. March 24 in the first block of Oak Street. Two females, ages 23 and 21, were arrested for burglary around 5:40 p.m. March 26 in the 200 block of W. Ventura Boulevard. Between March 24 and 28, police reported arresting four people on suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances. During that same time, two people were arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
A female, 37, was arrested and charged with being drunk in public at 4:39 p.m. March 27 in the 2400 block of N. Ponderosa Drive. The subject was reportedly discovered lying in a flower bed and was allegedly unable to walk or stand on her own. |
