Rio School District to accept student applications

The Rio School District will accept applications for open enrollment, intradistrict transfers Mon., March 31 to Sat., May 2. Intradistrict transfers are transfers required by resident district students who wish to enroll at a school site other than their resident area school.

Rio Vista School will not accept transfers, as the school has been declared impacted.

Applications are available at the Office of Student and Family Services, 3300 Cortez Street, Oxnard, and at each school site. Completed applications are due to OSFS by 4 p.m. Fri., May 2. Late applications will not be accepted. Parents will be notified by mail in July of their application's status.

The Rio School District is also accepting interdistrict transfer students who want to transfer into the district. Students will be accepted on a case-by-case basis. Applications can be picked up from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the OSFS. Application approval is based on space availability at the requested school.
