Alzheimer's Association extends office hours

The Alzheimer's Association is offering additional hours the first Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help reach those caregivers who are caring for a family member or other loved one with dementia and are not able to visit during business hours. The office is at 1339 Del Norte Road in Camarillo.

The Alzheimer's Association offers free and lowcost programs and services such as public education about Alzheimer's, respite for caregivers, material aids, support groups and library services.

During the additional hours all services will be available, as well as individual care consultations and family meetings.

Alzheimer's disease is a degenerative brain disorder. It is estimated that there are upwards of 12,000 people with Alzheimer's diseases in Ventura County.

For more information or to volunteer, call the Alzheimer's Association at (805) 485-5597 or visit www.centralcoastalz.org.
