Art Center announces events

The Camarillo Art Center will host upcoming events at the center, 3150 Ponderosa Drive.

•Glenna Kurtz will give a landscape and oil painting demonstration at 7 p.m. Wed., March 19. Refreshments will be served afterward. Admission is free for members, $5 for nonmembers.

•An exhibition titled "Printmaking" will be on display from Sat., March 29 to Sun., April 20, with an artist reception from 1 to 4 p.m. Sun., April 6.

The exhibition features mono print, collagraph, linocut, chine colle and etching prints by artists Phyllis Doyon, Donna Carver, Darcy Cory, Kevin Cory, Ellen Helfet, Mary Kolada Scott, Beverly Viola, Jean Williams and Gina Rester Zodrow.

•Phyllis Doyon will give a printmaking demonstration from 1 to 4 p.m. Sun., April 13.

•Elena Roche will host a soft pastel demonstration at 7 p.m. Wed., April 16. She will do a portrait with a live model using a pastel board. Refreshments will be served. The demonstration is free for members and $5 for nonmembers.

•The center's spring juried art show "Spring Forward" will be shown from Sat., April 26 to Sun., May 18.
