CAMARILLO'S PLANE- The 146th Airlift Wing of the California Air National Guard hosted an official aircraft dedication ceremony, naming each of its new J-model C-130s after Ventura County cities, including Camarillo. The name of each city is proudly displayed above the crew entrance of the door of the aircraft. The ceremony took place last Saturday at the Channel Islands ANG Station adjacent to Pt. Mugu Naval Air Station. Standing before one of the giant planes are, from left to right, U.S. Rep. Elton Gallegly (R-Thousand Oaks), Col. Marilyn Rios, Camarillo Mayor Charlotte Craven, Major General William H. Wade, and Major General Dennis G. Lucas.
