Optimists to meet

The Camarillo Noontime Optimist Club has announced their meeting schedule for March. The club meets at noon every Monday at Round Table Pizza on Arneill Road.

•On March 10, Geoff Dean of the Ventura County Sheriff's office will give a presentation on sports drinks.

•Robin Westmiller, founder of National Association to Stop Guardian Abuse, will speak at the March 17 meeting.

•An update on past winners of Optimist scholarships will be given by Julie Novak on March 24.

•The March 31 meeting will feature Karen Schein on "getting to know our new Optimist member."
