Three periods of sacred music come together in concert
St. John's Seminary to host 'Cantate Domino'

St. John's Seminary will present "Cantate Domino" (Sing to the Lord a new song) at 4 p.m. Sun., March 9 at the seminary chapel, 5012 Seminary Road in Camarillo.

The concert will bring together three periods of sacred music. Pieces include "The Passion and Resurrection of the Lord" by William Billings, contemporary Christian praise songs and Renaissance motets by H.L. Hassler, Palestrina, Cherubini and Gabrieli.

The Oaks Chamber Singers and the Korean vocal ensemble Sonorous Singers from Los Angeles will sing.

The concert is open to the public. Suggested freewill offering is $10.
