Asks for public's involvement

Citizens of Camarillo, the teachers of the Pleasant Valley School District need your help.

We are still trying to get a fair and equitable compensation package for this 2007-08 school year. We are currently one of the lowest compensated districts in Ventura County.

I am asking the citizens of Camarillo to please write, e-mail or call our school board and ask them to resolve this impasse quickly before teacher morale sinks any lower. The board can be reached through the PVSD website, www.1.pvsd.k12.ca.us.

The school board is elected by you, the voters.

Please contact them and ask that they honor their promises to the teachers and students of this district. Andrea Whittenberg Camarillo

Whittenberg is a fifth-grade teacher at Tierra Linda Elementary School.
