Creating worlds of wonder

WRITTEN WORD- Carol Heyer, a Thousand Oaks artist and illustrator of children's books, speaks to students at La Mariposa Elementary School during the school's annual Day With an Author program on Wed., Feb. 13. Three different authors spoke to students from first through fifth grade during the day. The authors included Michelle Markel who read from her book, "Dreamer from the Village," which was voted a New York Public Library's 2005 Best Title for Reading and Sharing.
