Church to host quilters

"Quilts and Yarns," a special exhibit planned by the United Methodist Women, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sat., March 15 at the Camarillo United Methodist Church, 291 Anacapa Drive.

Don Beld, a member of the Camarillo Quilters Association and a leader with Home of the Brave, an organization that distributes quilts to families of deceased service men and women, will speak on "Quilters and American Heroes" at 10 a.m. that day. The exhibit will open in the church sanctuary following the talk.

The exhibit will feature yarn, knitted, crocheted and embroidered crafts, and a variety of quilts.

Tickets are $25 and include the talk, exhibit and lunch.
