Sheriff's Blotter A burglar stole more than $400 in jewelry from a home in the 400 block of Commons Park Drive sometime between Jan. 20 and Feb. 10. Thieves stole more than 40 brass sprinkler valves from three different Oxnard farms between Jan. 27 and Feb. 8. The valves are valued at $100 each. A female shoplifter stole more than $3,000 worth of sunglasses from Sunglass Hut, 740 E. Ventura Blvd., on Feb. 5. Sometime between Feb. 5 and 6, thieves stole more than $2,900 in personal property from two unlocked cars parked in the 3400 block of East Street in Somis. Burglars broke into the equipment yard of a landscaping business in the 60 block of E. Los Angeles Avenue in Somis sometime between Feb. 5 and 6. An undisclosed amount of property was stolen from two trailers parked on the property. A thief stole the catalytic converter from the underside of a pickup truck parked near Lewis Road and Ventura Boulevard sometime between Feb. 5 and 6. A truck parked in the 5300 block of Hidalgo Street was burglarized sometime between Feb. 5 and 6. More than $400 in property was stolen. A car parked in the 300 block of Otono Court was burglarized sometime between Feb. 5 and 6. A purse and an iPod electronic music player were stolen. A 46-year-old woman was arrested Feb. 6 for allegedly shoplifting less than $400 in merchandise from the Target store, 209 W. Ventura Blvd. A car parked in the 1900 block of E. Daily Drive was burglarized sometime between Feb. 6 and 7. The thieves caused $200 in damages and stole $250 in property. A 19-year-old male was arrested Feb. 7 near Felicia Street and Baroda Drive on multiple charges, including possession of marijuana for sale, allowing an unlicensed minor to drive his vehicle and transportation of marijuana. A 30-year-old woman was arrested Feb. 7 for allegedly shoplifting from the Kmart store in the 940 block of Arneill Road. A 14-year-old male was arrested Feb. 7 in the 1700 block of Lewis Road for allegedly hitting a 32yearold victim in the stomach with a metal pole. Approximately $900 in property was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 1600 block of E. Tejon Court sometime between Feb. 7 and 8. A laptop computer was stolen from a building in the 4800 block of Adohr Lane sometime between Feb. 7 and 8. Burglars broke into a car parked in the 1600 block of E. Edgemont Drive by drilling a hole in the driver's side door lock sometime between Feb. 7 and 8. More than $3,700 in stereo equipment was stolen. The thieves caused more than $400 in damages. A vandal used a firecracker to blow up a mailbox in the 2400 block of Kimberley Drive on Feb. 8. About $560 in property was stolen from a car parked in the 1400 block of Lexington Court sometime between Feb. 8 and 9. Vandals used white chalk to write on the Wells Fargo bank, 2357 Pickwick Drive, sometime between Feb. 8 and 11. A 39-year-old man was arrested Feb. 9 near the Central Avenue offramp of the 101 Freeway an charged with beating a 54-year-old man following an alleged road rage incident between the two motorists that took place while they were driving on the 101 Freeway. An unknown person convinced employees of the Jockey men's clothing store, 940 Factory Stores Drive, that he was an employee of the company and conned them into wiring him money over the phone on Feb. 9. Burglars broke into a home in the 4700 block of Aggen Road sometime between Jan. 31 and Feb. 9 and stole more than $3,000 in property. A thief stole cash and a cellphone from the purse of a woman in the 4600 block of Del Rayo Court on Feb. 9. A burglar entered a home in the 500 block of Anacapa Drive via an unlocked window and stole a video game console and five video games sometime between Feb. 9 and 10. A 21-year-old woman was arrested Feb. 10 near Ventura Boulevard and Elm Drive following a call for disturbing the peace. The woman was arrested for her alleged involvement in an armed robbery using a knife, in addition to an out-of-county warrant for her arrest for allegedly driving with a suspended license. A truck parked in the 5200 block of Creekside Road was burglarized sometime between Feb. 10 and 11. A personal navigation system and stereo equipment were stolen. A car parked in the 1600 block of W. Chapel Drive was burglarized sometime between Feb. 10 and 11. A car parked in the 900 block of W. Ventura Boulevard was burglarized Feb. 11. An undisclosed amount of property was stolen. A car parked in the 400 block of Carmen Drive was burglarized Feb. 11. Thieves smashed the window of a car parked in the 4800 block of Adohr Lane on Feb. 11 and stole a personal navigation system from the vehicle. Between Feb. 5 and Feb. 10, police reported arresting four people on suspicion of driving without a license or driving with a suspended license. During that same time period, three people were arrested and charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, one person was arrested on various drug charges and one person was arrested for allegedly being drunk in public. |
