Scholarships open to female CSUCI freshmen

Application packets are now available for Soroptimist International of Camarillo's annual Amy Durst McAvoy Scholarship.

Applicants must be girls who are in their senior year of high school and residents of Ventura County who have been accepted by California State University Channel Islands in a field of math or science.

Packets are available through high school counseling offices or by calling Carol Lopez from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at (805) 987-6963.

The deadline for submission is March 28.
