Theater to hold 'Earnest' auditions
All roles to Oscar Wilde play are open

The Camarillo Community Theatre will hold auditions for "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde from 7 to 10 p.m. Mon., Feb. 18 at the theater, 330 Skyway Drive.

Call backs will be from 7 to 10 p.m. Tues., Feb. 19. Performances are April 18 through May 18.

Rehearsals will begin immediately after call backs.

To audition, bring a resume and headshot and be prepared for a cold reading from the script. No appointment is necessary.

All roles are open. Characters include: John Worthing, 25-35, a moral English gentleman; Algernon Moncrieff, 2535, an amoral English gentleman; Reverend Chasuable, 40-50, in love with Miss Prism; Miss Prism, 32-40, Puritan with a soft side; Merriman, 50-70, John's butler; Lane, 50-70, Algernon's manservant; Lady Bracknell, 5070, Algernon's domineering aunt; Gwendolyn Fairfax, 20-28, a sophisticated young woman; Cecily Cardew, 18-25, a child of nature fascinated by wickedness.
