Pediatric hospice receives grant

The Martin V. and Martha K. Smith Foundation has donated $75,000 to Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association to create a Livingston Pediatric Hospice Fund to support endoflife care for Ventura County children with terminal illnesses.

The association is the only Ventura County hospice provider with a pediatric hospice nurse staff.

Livingston Pediatric Hospice provides medical, emotional and spiritual care. Following the death, Livingston offers ongoing bereavement care to the entire family.

The foundation was established by Martin "Bud" Smith and his wife, Martha, "to enhance the quality of life for the residents of Ventura County." For more information, visit www.vccf.org.
