Optimist Club announces February lineup

The Camarillo Noontime Optimist Club has announced its schedule for February. The club meets at noon every Monday at Round Table Pizza on Arneill Road.

•Feb. 4: Kathy Asher, director of curriculum for Ventura Unified School District, and two specialists will discuss nutrition and physical fitness for children.

•Feb. 11: Shig Yabu, author and community leader, will speak.

•Feb. 18: no meeting.

•Feb. 25: Dr. Charles Weis, Ventura County superintendent, will share results from the California Healthy Kid survey on drugs and alcohol use.
