Eagle Scout

AWARD OF MERIT- Patrick McTavish, a senior at Adolfo Camarillo High School and member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 249, earned the rank of Eagle Scout last month. For his Eagle project, McTavish led his fellow Scouts in sanding and repainting the wrought-iron fences that surround Camarillo Community Church, where he is an active member and where he received his Eagle Scout award. McTavish, who plans to enlist in the Navy upon graduating from high school, is the first of six young men from Troop 249 who have recently earned the Boy Scouts' highest rank.
