Somis students are whizzes at math

THEY ALL COUNT- A dozen seventh and eighthgrade students from Mesa Union Junior High School in Somis competed in the 22nd annual St. Bonaventure High School math contest Sat., Jan. 19 in Ventura. Four of the local students placed in the top 10. The students include, back row left to right, Justin Tobey, who placed sixth, Casey Mulchay, Anna Nolan, Paul Wallace, Mitch Hobbs, who placed fifth, Isaac Castro, Arjun Gambhir, who placed ninth, Sam Birns, who took second, and Ryan Buchanan.
