Students take time to reflect

ARTISTS- Awards were given to students from throughout Ventura County at the 2007-2008 National PTA Reflections Program Gallery Exhibit Reception and Awards Celebration Tuesday night at the Ventura County Office of Education in Camarillo. Twenty four students were given the award of excellence for their art work that reflected this year's theme, "I Can Make a Difference By...". The students will go on to compete at the national level. The winning students include, left to right, Elizabeth Senesac, 6, from Citrus Glen Elementary School in Ventura, Aidan Carter, 5, of Santa Rosa Technology Magnet School in Camarillo, Brett Stein, 6, of Tierra Linda Elementary School in Camarillo, Jacob Varat, 7, of Ladera Elementary School in Thousand Oaks, Brandon Duran, 7, of University Prep Elementary School in Camarillo and Bailey Garcia, 7, of Banyan Elementary School in Newbury Park.
