Methodists offer classes for adults, children

The Camarillo United Methodist Church will offer winter Journey classes for children and adults starting 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wed., Feb. 6 at the church, 291 Anacapa Drive.

The adults' Journey class is called "This I Believe," and will be taught by the Rev. Jim Decker-Mahin, senior pastor, and Meenal Kelkar, meditation facilitator. The four-week class will give participants an opportunity to prepare faith statements and discuss the values that guide their lives. The class is open to adults and youths in sixth grade or over.

The children's Journey class, "The Earth is Our Mother," will focus on environmental issues. The class is for children in grades kindergarten to fifth and will include music, singing, sign language, movement and Orff instruments.
