Support available for bipolar disorder
Peer-led group meets Tuesdays, Wednesdays

The local chapter of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance Ventura hosts regular, confidential, peer-led, self-help support group meetings in Ventura.

Meetings are held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays at the Bible Fellowship Church, 6950 Ralston St., Ventura, room 301 of building 300. Enter the parking lot off Johnson Drive.

For more information, call (805) 2010619 or send an email to DSBA_Ventura @yahoo.com.

Meetings are also held from 2 to 4 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at the Adult Wellness and Recovery Center, 56 E. Main St., Ste. 103.

For more information, call (805) 671-5038 or send an e-mail to DBSA_Ventura@yahoo.com.

The support groups are open to anyone who has been diagnosed with a mood disorder, has a family member or friend who is diagnosed or who thinks they might have depression or bipolar disorder (also known as manic depression). The groups are not run by professionals but instead offer peer-to-peer support.
