TALENTED GROUP—The Camarillo Cougars Competition Cheer Team won first place at the Six Flags Jamz Championship on Nov. 23. The cheerleaders are part of the Camarillo Cougars Youth Football and Cheer Organization. In preparation for the cheer contest, the team trained three hours every Sunday for the past eight weeks at Coach Patty's Gymnastics in Camarillo. The team's next competition is in Temecula, where they hope to qualify for the Junior Spirit Nationals held at Disney's California Adventure in February.
