New head for FOOD Share

Bonnie Weigel was recently named CEO of FOOD Share Inc., Ventura County's largest food bank providing nutrition to nearly 40,000 people each month.

Weigel has more than 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Her role at FOOD Share will include securing donations and sponsors, managing resources and long-term planning to expand the organization's reach and serve those in need.

"As a native of Ventura County, I know and value our community and its residents," Weigel said. "FOOD Share is an integral piece of the puzzle in assisting those in need. I look forward to serving an organization that is so readily and wholeheartedly embraced by its community."
