      Think a high school football team with a 1-8 record has no chance at the playoffs? Think again. When Camarillo (4-5 overall, 2-2 in Pacific View League play) and Rio Mesa (1-8, 1-3) face off tonight at RMHS, it will be for more than city bragging rights.

Playoffs underway for local schools
      TITLE CHASE— Hailey Keairns of Camarillo High, left, dives down to return a serve from the Fullerton volleyball girls' team during Tuesday's CIF-SS Division II-A first-round match. The Scorpions played at Oak Park on Thursday night. In other action Thursday, the top-seeded Rio Mesa boys' water polo team opened play in Division VI against Glendale.
