Annual examinations are recommended
      Dr. Marty Schneider, therapeutic optometrist, encourages anyone who has or may be at risk for diabetes to have an annual eye examination. November is National Diabetes Month. "Diabetes affects 18.2 million Americans, 5.2 million of which may not know they have the disease," Schneider said.

Temple Sisterhood to host game day
      The Sisterhood of Temple Ner Ami will host a game day at 1 p.m. Sun., Nov. 16 at the temple, 4098 Calle Tesoro, Ste. D, Camarillo. The event will include mah-jongg, as well as bridge and other card games. Admission is $10. Proceeds will benefit the scholarship programs sponsored by Temple Ner Ami Sisterhood.
