Take Your Camarillo Acorn on Vacation


A RIVER TREK—A group of local travelers took their favorite hometown newspaper with them during their summer vacation along the Danube River, starting in Prague, Czech Republic, and ending up in Budapest, Hungary, where they snapped this great photo. IN THE SOUTH—Gary and Sonja Corwin traveled  to South Carolina  last year, where they visited the Magnolia Plantation and Gardens near Charleston. The pair reported that the temperature was a scorching 117 degrees. CALIFORNIA'S JEWEL—Camarillo  Girl  Scout Troop  931  drove  north  to San Simeon, Calif., to visit the wonderfully ornate manor Hearst Castle, which was built by newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst. The home includes 165 rooms and sits on 127 acres. Graves visited former Thousand Oaks residents Pete and Lucy Shilling who own property on the Pacific island.
