Teacher says thank you

I am a second-grade teacher and am planning for the upcoming school year. I have also been reflecting on the year that has passed. I was blessed to have many people who contributed to my classroom and I'd like to thank them for their support.

The Ventura County Deputy Sheriffs' Association provided us with tickets to see the play "Flat Stanley" at the Thousand Oaks Civic Auditorium. Their generous donation also paid for the round trip bus ride from Las Posas School to Thousand Oaks.

The Pleasant Valley Historical Museum was a highlight of our study of family history and life long ago. Thank you to Val Rains and Adele Stubbing for leading the tour of the museum and the gardens.

Our Las Posas PTC was instrumental in providing for the Ventura County Museum Outreach program. Docents from the museum taught us about life long ago and gave students a handson experience with items from that time. The PTC also provided many oncampus assemblies and field trips.

Taco Bell and Noah's Bagels showed the students around their stores and provided them with bagels and lunches. A big thankyou to both of these businesses.

Finally, to all the parents and family members who helped throughout the year, thank you for all of your involvement and all of your ongoing support of your child's learning. Cindy Jensen Las Posas Elementary School second-grade teacher
