Sheriff's Blotter Camarillo It was reported July 31 that construction equipment was stolen from a construction site in the 3200 block of Wright Road sometime between July 25 and 27. A 79-year-old man was arrested July 28 in the 2200 block of Ventura Boulevard and charged with threatening to shoot another person. A car parked in the 700 block of Ventura Boulevard was burglarized July 28. Less than $400 in property was stolen from a car in the 700 block of Hunt Circle on July 28. Vandals slashed the tires of a car parked in the 5300 block of Felicia Street on July 29, causing $900 in damages. A purse containing $1,000 in cash and a $500 payroll check was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 300 block of Carmen Drive on July 29. About $500 in personal property was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 1700 block of E. Daily Drive on July 29. A $120 cellphone and a purse containing $200 in cash were stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 400 block of Carmen Drive on July 29. A cellphone was stolen in the 100 block of E. Daily Drive on July 29. A 27-year-old woman was arrested July 30 in the 1100 block of Eston Street for allegedly looking into windows without permission or reason. A 34-year-old man was arrested July 30 near Neish Street and Mission Drive on a felony outof-county warrant stemming from alleged failure to obey a court order. A car parked in the 1400 block of Frazier Street was burglarized sometime between July 30 and 31. The burglars caused $250 in damages and got away with $14 in property. Another car was burglarized on Frazier Street that same night. In the second theft, $200 in damages was reported and $25 in property was stolen. Vandals threw eggs at a car parked in the 600 block of Corte Regalo, causing more than $400 in damages sometime between July 31 and Aug. 1. A 28-year-old woman allegedly tried to pass a fake check at Bank of America, 5800 Santa Rosa Road, on Aug. 2. An armed burglar used a gun to hold up an employee of the Albertsons supermarket, 2400 Las Posas Road, on Aug. 2 around 10:35 p.m. Witnesses describe the gunman as a white male, 20 to 25 years old with short brown hair and a goatee. No one was reported injured. A shoplifter stole about $50 i n merchandise from the Target store, 209 W. Ventura Blvd., on Aug. 3. Burglars broke into the Camarillo Church of the Nazarene, 2280 Antonio Ave., sometime between Aug. 3 and 4, and stole three computers. Between July 28 and Aug. 1, police reported arresting 27 people on suspicion of driving without a license or driving with a suspended license. During that same time period, one person was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, nine people were arrested on various drug charges and two were arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public. |
