CAPE officials receive keys to former Valle Lindo site today
      Camarillo Academy of Progressive Education (CAPE) school officials will receive the keys to their new campus—formerly Valle Lindo School—today. The kindergartenthrougheighth-grade charter school had occupied buildings on the grounds of a church on Arneill Road for the past year.

Locals earn CLU degrees
      A total of 139 students completed their master's or doctoral degrees at California Lutheran University in May. The university offers six graduate programs in the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business and School of Education.

Junior makes dean's list
      Karissa Lauryn Hookstadt of Camarillo was named to the dean's honors list for the spring semester at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, N.H. Hookstadt, a junior majoring in sports and recreation management, earned the honor by maintaining a term gradepoint average of at least 3.65 on a scale of 4.0.

Student named to honor society
      Olivia Rose Patrick of Camarillo has accepted membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She will be honored during an induction convocation this fall at Cal State Northridge. Membership is by invitation only, based on gradepoint average and class standing.
