Two vehicles parked in the 300 block of W. Ventura Boulevard were burglarized July 17. About $10 in property was stolen, but the burglars caused $600 in damages.

Thieves siphoned $208 worth of diesel fuel from a truck parked at Astrofoam, 4117 Calle Tesoro, sometime between July 17 and 21.

A brass backflow valve used for a sprinkler system was stolen from Crossroads Shopping Center, 4542 Las Posas Road, sometime between July 19 and 26.

A 17-year-old male was arrested July 20 on Dominca Court and charged with stealing two vehicles and receiving stolen property. According to police, the teen was on probation at the time of his arrest.

Thieves siphoned about 200 gallons of diesel fuel worth nearly $1,050 from delivery trucks parked at Custom Packaging Supply, 3903 Calle Tecate Circle, sometime between July 18 and 21.

Less than $400 in personal property was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 600 block of Ventura Boulevard on July 21.

About $210 in property was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the open garage of a home in the 1500 block of Calle Portada sometime between July 21 and 22.

Less than $400 in property was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 1700 block of Calle Rocas sometime between July 21 and 22.

A car parked in the 2000 block of Via Veneto was burglarized sometime between July 21 and 22.

It was reported July 22 that sometime between July 14 and 18 about $2,200 worth of jewelry was stolen from a residence in the 2600 block of Ponderosa Drive.

It was reported July 22 that an iPod was stolen from a car in the 200 block of Arneill Road while it was being serviced at a carwash on July 17.

A 40-year-old woman was arrested July 22 in the 1200 block of W. Ventura Boulevard on charges of obstructing a police office and being drunk in public.

A car parked in the 1200 block of Wood Road was burglarized July 23. The car stereo was taken.

It was reported July 23 that sometime between June 20 and July 23 someone stole $5,500 in jewelry from a home in the 200 block of Trellis Place.

A 51-year-old man was arrested July 24 at the Hampton Inn and Suites hotel, 50 E. Daily Drive, and charged with stealing towels and coffee and tea packets from the hotel's pool area.

A golf cart was stolen from a locked storage room at a park in the 5500 block of Mission Oaks Boulevard sometime between July 24 and 25.

An undisclosed amount of property was stolen from a car parked in the 5000 block of Verdugo Way on July 25.

It was reported July 25 that sometime between July 21 and 22 about $125 in property was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 1900 block of Via Veneto.

More than $1,100 was stolen from the safe of Wendy's restaurant, 149 W. Ventura Blvd., sometime between July 25 and 26.

A car parked in the 200 block of Flynn Road was burglarized July 27. A purse with credit cards and $2,000 in cash was reported stolen. Another nearby car was also burglarized; the thieves stole another purse containing credit cards.

A 27-year-old man was arrested July 27 around 4 a.m. He was allegedly seen on Ridge View Street and Japonica Avenue checking the door handles on various cars. The man was arrested near Cottage Grove Avenue and Leatherwood Street on charges of prowling, possession of burglary tools, damaging a vehicle and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

A 22-year-old man was arrested July 27 in the 1300 block of E. Ventura Boulevard and charged with being drunk in public. Police said the man was bleeding from the head and was unsteady on his feet after being in a fight.

Between July 21 and July 27, police reported arresting 11 people on suspicion of driving without a license or driving with a suspended license. In the same time period, four people were arrested on charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, 13 people were arrested on various drug charges and four were arrested and charged with being drunk in public.
