Mentoring program helps prepare foster teens for life outside system

      Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County have received a one-year grant to set up a countywide mentoring program for 20 female foster youth ages 15 to 18. The grant, for $10,000, was provided by the United Women's Leadership Council, a humanitarian volunteer group associated with United Way of Ventura County.
