      When the Irish rock band Thin Lizzy released its greatest hit in 1976, "The Boys Are Back in Town," it had no references to the Dallas Cowboys or Ventura County. Thirtytwo years later, however, the song very much resonates at a local level as the 'Boys, in fact, are back in town- or at least back in Oxnard.

      Here is the Dallas Cowboys' training camp schedule for the next three weeks at River Ridge in Oxnard. All times are subject to change. Check www.dallascowboys.com for up-to-date information. Practices are free to attend. Parking is $10 for cars and $20 for oversized vehicles.

Local soccer squad hangs loose in Hawaii
     SOCCER AND SURF- The Camarillo AYSO Region 68 'B' U-12 soccer team finished in third place at the 2008 National Games in Honolulu, Hawaii. It was the highest finish ever for Region 68 'B' U-12 squad. Team members include Andrew Cordova, William Huebner, Gregory Ford, Frederick Pond, Andrew Magiera, Neil Van Splinter, Kishen Majithia, Nathaniel Seeba, Alejandro Arechiga, Christian Welsh and Ian Jones. Gregg Van Splinter and John Huebner are the coaches.
