Golf classic seeks players

The Salvation Army of Oxnard/Port Hueneme is seeking sponsors and golfers to support the second annual Lisa Guerrero Ocean View Golf Classic charity tournament scheduled for Sept. 29 at the Saticoy Country Club.

Entry fee for players is $225 per person or $900 for a foursome. The fee includes access to greens, cart, continental breakfast, lunch, items from the gift salon and an awards dinner after the tournament.

A spa package for $150 is also available, and includes minifacial, massage, makeup and dinner.

Sponsorship packages rang from $2,500 to $5,000 and include up to eight players with an option to have a celebrity join a foursome.

Funding from the event will support the programs and services provided by the free medical and dental clinic and food pantry at 622 W. Wooley Road, Oxnard. The clinic serves those who are unable to access healthcare due to lack of funds or insurance. The food pantry serves more than 3,000 lowincome and homeless people yearly.
