Artist showcases wonderful world of watercolors
     GALLERY SHOWING- Artist Mary-Gail King, a Camarillo resident, recently displays original watercolor paintings during an artist reception at the Hot Summer Art 2008 art show at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts in Thousand Oaks. Art center retrospective
      The Camarillo Art Center will present a "Ray Ayers Retrospective" from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays from July 19 through Aug. 10 at the center, 3150 Ponderosa Drive, Camarillo. For many years Ayers spent Saturday mornings painting watercolors at the Camarillo Farmer's Market. His works depict open fields, barns, buildings and scenes.

Harbor show is free
      Channel Islands Harbor will hold the seventh annual Fine Arts and Craft Show series from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9 and 10 at the harbor on the corner of Channel Islands Blvd. and Harbor Blvd. The festival is free and open to the public.
