Park renamed for longtime boardmember
     JANN HENDRY/Acorn Newspapers IN MEMORY- The Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District unveiled the new sign for Nancy Bush Park, formerly Crestview Park, during a ceremony with Bush's extended family on Saturday morning. Nancy Bush, the longest serving board member in the history of the park district, died Dec. 2. Bush served on the board for 25 years.

      GYPSY RUN- Gypsies in a Trunk troupe actress Marilyn Zaslow, a Moorpark resident, encourages Camarillo youngster Shirah Santer, 3, to return to her seat as the play "Puck-A Midsummer Day's Fairy Tale" is performed in the grass at the Camarillo Community Center in Camarillo last Saturday.

Special Olympics holds fundraiser
      Wood Ranch Barbecue and Grill will sponsor a fundraiser for the Ventura County Special Olympics from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tues., July 22 at the restaurant, 1101 E. Daily Drive, Camarillo. Representatives of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department will act as "celebrity servers.

Fiesta 2008
     OPEN-AIR CONCERT- Camarillo resident Julianne Freedman performs last Saturday on Ventura Boulevard in Old Town. The Camarillo Street Fair and Fiesta was held July 11 through July 13. The threeday event included carnival rides, vendors, a car show and food.
